Keyword placement – where to put the keywords in a post

May 25, 2009 by Blog SEO Expert 6 Comments

The right keyword density, but that’s not all…

It is important to have the right keyword density, and it is important to not stuff your post with keywords.

Is there anything more to keywords? Do you need to consider anything else?

Well, yes!

Keyword placement

Its not just the number of times a keyword is used in a post – where you put your keywords plays a role in SEO too.

Where you put the keywords in your blog post or webpage is called keyword placement.

Where should the keywords be?

Search engines like Google give a lot of importance to the beginning and the end of any post.

Therefore, you should definitely have the keywords appear in the first and the last paragraph of your blog post. It would be even better if you can have them appear in the first and the last sentence of the post.

This is the most important keyword placement tip for great SEO.

Apart from this, the blog post can have the keywords naturally scattered throughout the post – of course, making sure that the keyword density is right, and that you don’t stuff keywords in the post.

Putting keywords in the first and last sentence really helps. I usually bold or italic the keyword if it fits as well, just to give extra emphasis.

Completely agree. Kewords in bold, italics or underline, and putting keywords in the heading tags is a great way of emphasizing them.

Thank you for such a valuable information about the placement of keywords in posts. I really didn’t have this idea and always surfed crazily to have this kind of knowledge.

I will be thankful if you see my blog and suggest me something. I am new blogger, have least knowledge about SEO.

    Thanks
